Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA)

Osteoarthritis or, more correctly termed osteoarthrosis, is a condition that affects the joints. The cartilage surfaces of the joints become damaged or worn so the joint doesn’t move smoothly. This can lead to pain and stiffness. It is associated with general wear and tear and increases with age but can also occur several years after an injury to a joint.
