RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury)
RSI or repetitive strain injury is the term used to describe pain in the arm, wrist and/or hand caused by overuse and repetitive movements. It can be a work-related injury, often suffered by office workers who use a computer mouse for long periods of time. It is frequently aggravated by poor sitting posture, particularly around the neck and shoulder.

What can Petersfield Physio do to help RSI?

Posture correction is essential to make sure the joints and muscles are in the correct position. Specific strengthening and stretching exercises will help take pressure off the painful tissues and electrotherapy can reduce inflammation. Advice on small modifications at work e.g. changing desk height, chair or mouse can be very effective.
